99% rant, 1% fact

@lukeakehurst on Labourlist today says, “There are a few thousand far -leftwingers who want us to take a “ No Cuts” position. They hate the Labour Party and in many cases will never vote for us anyway.”

This attitude that disillusioned and disenfranchised leftwingers are not worth the effort, and instead we should be trying to appeal to Tory voters, coming from a member of Labour’s NEC horrified me, especially as this week Luke also told me to burn my Labour membership card and stop having “daft politics”.

I am working class. I have spent many years as a trade union activist. If the Labour Party don’t want me, who is going to represent me in Westminster?

My guesses for #SATTC

If you haven’t noticed, Lizzie and Nigel wuv each other VERY VERY MUCH so one of them will be spending 2011 choosing a headstone.

It would be tragic if Helen and Tony never resolve their differences, so no doubt fate will intervene: probably to give Helen something else to be a martyr about for the rest of her life.  When the fetus pops it can then be called Tony,

Pip has been taking driving lessons, this will probably play a part: she’ll either plough a landrover into Lower Loxley (perhaps aiming at a newly returned Jude) or heroically ferrying casualties to hospital.

Nic has been a saint lately, helping Clarrie with her broken arm.  I hope Will gets custody of the kids after she’s gone.

I can’t decide where the Grundys will fit into all this.  Surely we’re not going to have to wait another 10 years for Ed’s inevitable shotgun frenzy?

Fallon and Harry will….. zzzzzzzz……. sorry, Harry has that effect on me.

Jazzer will be the John Smeaton-type hero, whatever happens.
